Incorporated in 1982 as an interior design firm specializing in
residential interiors and today employs seven highly skilled and
talented designers. In 1984
Lynda Shea, the founder of the company, in response to client demand
for high quality French country furniture, made her first buying
trip to France and shortly thereafter opened her shop, FRENCH COUNTRY
IMPORTS. In the subsequent nineteen years - and almost fifty buying
trips - Lynda and the Shea design staff of designers have explored
the Languedoc, Alsace, Normandy, Provence, and the department of
Paris, the Ile de France, to find antique furniture and accessories
of exceptional quality and variety for their very discerning clientele.
